Maurice Moore brings double the vibes on “Just 2” and “Scars”

Ottawa, ON – STXRY’s Maurice Moore released 2 new tracks this past Sunday as part of his six-week Sunday Gems series. The Ottawa-based artist has established himself as a Canadian R&B voice to watch, and also a member of Kehlani’s TSNMI mob. With his debut mixtape The Amber Room expected in the coming months this summer, “Just 2” and “Scars” put Maurice at the front of our attention and keep us alert to his upcoming moves.

“Just 2” is produced by Australian producer UNO Stereo and merges trap influences with 80’s R&B. Maurice relays lyrics that tell of his pursuits of a female love interest, but the high energy and uptempo beat. When Maurice sings, “I work hard just to love you,” we’re positive he’ll win you over.

Oppositely, “Scars,” is a dark and heavy tribute to Maurice’s struggle and hustle. The track is produced by Tev WoodsKingBNJMN (who also produced “bed time.“) and Auracle. You’ll hear subtle dub-step references as Maurice flexes his songwriting abilities – proving he’s grown past being just a local talent to an artist ready to take on more.

Check out the two new singles below, and keep an eye out for future Sunday Gems releases.
