Check out XUAVE’s new two-part video for “Hollywood $ign / Make It Work”

Ottawa, ON – Yesterday Ottawa artist and RBLx collective member XUAVE released a new two-part video for his “Hollywood $ign” track with Indica and Quincy Got Rich (off the GLUM EP), as well as for his single from a few months back titled “Make It Work”.

I feel like XUAVE is Canada’s answer for trap fans who like mumble rap but also want to be able to understand what a guy is saying. He’s honed in on this very signature brand of mumble-less mumble rap. It’s a rowdy turn up but there’s always this ethereal cloud rap quality to it.

The video starts off with “Hollywood $ign” and a dreamier, smoked out aesthetic backdropped by purple skies and lots of little fluttering graphic hearts. This is a song about falling into the fame trap, but also about those dreams of making it big and making it to the Hollywood sign. Then the video transitions into the turn up with “Make It Work” – a more aggressive punch to the face about the importance of hustle and putting in work. Check out the video after the jump.
