Ottawa, ON – Day 2 of this year’s Ottawa Bluesfest was the start of the hip-hop block of events taking place throughout the festival’s 10-day schedule. The bill included Ottawa’s own Eddie Quotez who took the Black Sheep Stage with DJ Xander at 6:30 p.m. Quotez performed over some Future-inspired beats, some old tunes like “Dope Shit” (featuring Masia One), but also a bunch of new records off his OTAKU project including the new single “Silly Games.”

West Coast producer DJ Mustard was the headline on the Black Stage and ran an hour long DJ set playing some of his hits. He played “Needed Me” by Rihanna, Play Boi Carti’s “Magnolia,” Big Sean’s “I Don’t Fuck With You,” and more. He even surprised the Bluesfest fans with a never heard remix to the “XO Tour Life” track by Lil Uzi Vert.
