Edmonton, AB – If you’re privy to Edmonton’s hip-hop scene, then you know about KBL, and if you don’t know, you need to get into it. Abbreviated for “Knowledge Beneath Lyrics”, the trio dropped their latest self titled EP this spring.

In just eight tracks, the group (which consists of Kancer, B-Lung and Organic) bring fresh, relateable content to the table. Whether it’s dealing with the everyday struggle of getting by or just letting it all go to get faded (cue “Pennies”) it’s all there – wrapped up with clever rhymes, polished cadence (the interludes alone are pure gems) and intricate production.

Not to sound cliche but KBL keeps it 100 and that’s what makes them so relateable. They’re honest and haven’t wavered to appease anyone or anything except the music and lyrics they believe in. Knowledge Beneath Lyrics is available via Spotify, iTunes, and Google Play. To keep up with their latest content, check out their website.
