The Posterz return with two brand new singles: “Audi” & “Stolen Car”

Montreal, QC – Earlier this week Montreal rap trio The Posterz (Husser, Kris The $pirit, and producer Joey Sherrett) released two brand new singles on their SoundCloud page titled “Audi” and “Stolen Car”.

It’s been nine months since the guys have released anything as a group. They dropped their three-track Bored In Canada EP back on Oct. 31 and have stayed pretty quiet since.

Husser and Kris have each released solo work throughout the year. And they’ve made some major waves on that front. But they’re long overdue on new Posterz material. Bored In Canada was basically an audio cliffhanger. Because it was like… peak experimental Posterz vibes. They got bored, they made music, and it was on some next level. Then they disappeared for most of 2017.

“Stolen Car” is a downtempo party track that pays homage to Adina Howard’s “Freak Like Me”: “Cause I’m ‘a be a freak all through the day/ Until the dawn/ And carrying that pump all through the night till the early morn/ Come on and I will take you around the ‘hood on a gangsta lean/ And we can pump, pump any time of day/ It’s all good for me.” This is a track for the come down, when everything starts to slow down and fade out. The track is posted up with a captioning that reads: “F**K DONALD TRUMP”.

The second track “Audi” switches up pace with a distinct drippy, militant vibe. It’s a bar-heavy record that digs a little bit deeper into the personalities and politics and haters in the game. And this track is posted up with a captioning that reads: “F**K THE FAKE SHIT”.
