Toronto, ON – The amount of talent coming from the Uptown movement in Toronto is not to be ignored and Justin Trash proves it with his new two-pack EP Ex Boyfriend.

More than ever, the name Justin Trash is a name that is impossible to avoid. Whether it be his performances at Secret Service Club events or his eclectic set with fellow Uptown Boyband members at UNCRWND, it seems that he is hitting every outlet. He gained a lot of attention after releasing his video for “Noraebang” and is now back showing us a more emotional side with the Ex Boyfriend EP.

Ex Boyfriend is a brief but diverse release comprised of two songs, two producers, one feature and all the feels. The first song of the two, “BrokeBoyForever”, is a melodic record which details an experience that Justin had with a rich girl who never paid any attention to him in the past.

But now that he is finding success in his life, she wants to come back. Justin sings “She want a rari, I’m a Prius/ I said I’m sorry and I mean it/ But she want me I don’t get it/ Is she lying?/ Is she mine?/ I don’t stress it” outlining the emotional rollercoaster that Justin was sent on until realizing that he doesn’t need to stress about the girl. The second song on the project, “Suffocating From Your Perfume” has a feature from Johnny Darko and talks about him getting over the pain of all of his past relationships.

Even though Ex Boyfriend is only two songs long, it is filled with very deep concepts and messages that anyone can relate to. Justin Trash teaches us to never let other people dictate your worth and that somebody’s Prius can always be someone else’s Rari. Check out the project below and make sure you keep your eyes peeled for Justin Trash and the rest of the Uptown movement.
