You need to listen to this new single “River” by Waycool artist Josh Dillon

Brampton, ON – Earlier this week Brampton-based Waycool artist Josh Dillon released a new single titled “River” and it’s one of the most hauntingly beautiful ballads you’ll hear this week.

Produced by Josh’s go-to producer Martin Sole, “River” is a deeply introspective song that brings us to the very core of Josh’s soul. The track drifts between reflections and realizations, and vivid lucid thoughts as Josh mulls over his approach to the rap game, his childhood visions of God, and how he’s living his life: “I think I was found floating in the nile river/ Don’t steer I just let the boat ride/ And I grew up in a house where the clouds don’t wither/ No fear I think I’ll be alright.”

Huge shout-out to our West Coast rep Kira Hunston for putting me on to the Waycool camp. They’re one of the most exciting crews coming out of the country right now. Even though they’re still criminally under-the-radar. They’ll pop off soon though because their sound continues to push the sonic envelope. This is definitely one of the best tracks I’ve heard this week.
