Skyscrapers: Maestro Fresh Wes heads to NYC for new video with Kool Keith

New York, NY – “Poppa Stro meets Poppa Large!” Maestro Fresh Wes just released his latest visual support for his new album, Coach Fresh. The video for the Lord Quest-produced “Skyscrapers,” featuring veteran Bronx rapper Kool Keith, was shot just recently in New York City and directed by Gerald K. Barclay aka Gee Bee.

“‘SKYSCRAPERS’ embodies the essence of hip-hop with beats and bars that resonate.”

From the press release: “‘I’m looking for the leaders, but all I see is followers, followers turn into borrowers, borrowers turn into swallowers,’ Maestro exclaims on his verse symbolizing the need for innovators in this saturated cesspool of assimilation. ‘Suckers lowered the bar, that’s why we raised it!’ Wes continues on the infectious chorus.

You can find Coach Fresh on Apple Music and other digital platforms. We recently interviewed Wes to discuss his new project as well as other topics including his recent TEDx appearance in Vancouver and receiving an honorary diploma. Click here to check it out.
