Name: Off The Books: North Volume 1
Presented by: Midi Mafia/Family Ties Entertainment
Hosted by: Mo'Jointz (The Joint Squad/Relentless Management)
Release Date: 1st Quarter of 2005

At the end of 2004, Midi Mafia (Dirty Swift & Bruce Wayne) [Click here to read Midi Mafia interview] teamed up with King Magazine to release their Off The Books mixtape. The CD was a free insert for all those south of border that picked up a copy of the magazine. Unfortunately, Canadian readers of the magazine were not provided with the same bonus; Midi Mafia has us covered. Off The Books: North Volume 1 will be hitting the streets soon and is filled with exclusive beats, rhymes and collaborations from both US and Canadian emcees. Featured Canadian talent includes all new material from Bless (Platinumberg), Mayhem Morearty (Hustlemann), TalkSick (The Empire), Belly (Capital Prophets), Sycamore Souljaz (Landlokt Records) and Bishop Brigante (Section 6 Entertainment). US appearances include 50 Cent, Lil' Kim, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Killa Mike, Fabolous and Family Ties artist Deemi [click here to read an article about Deemi]. The mixtape is also hosted by the big dawg manager Mo'Jointz of The Joint Squad/Relentless Management. Stay tuned to HipHopCanada.com for more information.

Name: S.A.R.S. (Sick Artists Runnin' Shit) Volume 3
Presented by: The Empire
Hosted by: T.R.A.
Release Date: 1st Quarter of 2005

With the great success of S.A.R.S. Volume One and Two, it's only fitting that they make it a trilogy by releasing this upcoming third one. S.A.R.S. 1 was without a doubt a hot release and the comments we saw in the HHC Community indicated that you thought Volume 2 was even hotter. We've been assured by T.R.A. (The Empire) that this next one will be the best yet. Before publishing, we were not able to get an exact list of who would be on the project but you can expect to see similar names from Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 as well as a whole new cast of sickness to keep things contaminated. Also, you'll be sure to catch Empire's roster within the mix on various tracks. This is definitely a good look for the Canadian mixtape scene. Worried you might not get your hands on a copy? This CD will be available on HipHopCanada.com and you can be sure to find Empire pushing them in Toronto or even in your city sometime soon. Stay tuned to HipHopCanada.com for more information.
