HMV is primarily about DVDs now... and pop culture crap that includes books on entertainers, t-shirts, glasses, etc. I didn't see any CDs last time I was there, but I also wasn't looking for any. They do have vinyl, though. (and as an aside, the Sunrise on Yonge St near the used-to-be-big HMV has a pretty respectable vinyl section).
Also, I haven't seen any games at HMV the last few times I happened to wander in. I found that weird considering that was the direction I thought they might be going in. After all, video games are more lucrative and harder to bootleg than DVDs. And they had such a big section, especially at 333 Yonge where it eventually took over the basement.

I went to HMV today and bought some Adventure time posters for the kids and a Garfield piggy bank. I also got a Avengers T Shirt except the avengers are sesame street characters and Oscar the grouch is the Hulk it's pretty cool. Oh yeah, and I got Santa Paws 2 cuz I couldn't find a decent DL link.
So yeah. HMV is basically a flea market.
