while its wack that he pulled out the note pad, when i heard that most ppls freestyles were prewritten anyways...
Dood, King of the Dot (and Smack, the old Grindtime when it was around), and pretty much any other battles you see these days are written battle leagues. Written is accept and expected. That being said, pulling out a phone, paper, etc to read your raps is NOT.
While some of the best battlers in those leagues do incorporate some freestyle flips into their verses, the majority of everyone's bars are pre wrote.
But ya, pulling out something to read rhymes is just never acceptable..then to choke while reading..OH LAWD... and then to hear what he was reading was actually hot doodoo.. ahhhh cringeworthy.
Honoestly though, is is prolly the best thing that coulda happened to KOTD. The extreme failure of Canibus brought whey more attention to this battle than it would have gotten. The only prob is it maybe scaring away some other somewhat established artists from stepping in the ring.
And whoever said the PPV was near 87,000 or whatever..NO SHOTTTTT.
I support KOTD and i WISH they'd get that number..but the actual number was prolly alot closer to 3000. $30/person, but ustream takes half of that. Still not bad.
But dunno where people keep pulling this 87thou number from.
Event was dope though. Daylyt and Bender had the standout performances.
DNA vs Eurgh was amazing as well
*waits for KDot to come in and bash any and everyone associated with KOTD* haah
