Montreal, QC – Ken Garner and the Garner family invite you to join us for a a tribute show and party in memory of our dear friend, hip-hop promoter, HipHopCanada Montreal rep and founder of Escape Entertainment, Matt “Dutch” Garner. The event will be held on Sunday November 11, 2012 at Le Belmont (4483 St-Laurent Blvd) in commemoration of the one year anniversary of his untimely passing.

Dutch was not only the pulse of the Montreal hip-hop scene, he was the bridge that got many Montreal artists recognition outside of the city. The event will feature performances by some of Montreal’s finest hip-hop artists as well as spoken word poetry and videos. A tribute room will feature memorabilia including photos, posters and other personal items showcased in memory of Dutch’s life.

Bring your friends to this special, intimate night. For more information please contact info@escapemtl.ca. You can find the event flyer and performance listing after the jump.

Myles "MrHookupz" Ambris is HipHopCanada's City Rep for Montreal, Quebec. Hookupz started covering the Montreal hip hop scene in 2006. The goal from the start has been to promote talent in Montreal and build brigdes to expose that talent to the rest of Canada. In 2009 he teamed up with Shane (L.E.S.) Scully and launched Morburn-music.com, one of the most diverse websites covering the local scene in Montreal. MrHookupz is now the city Rep for Montreal, completing the goal of bridging the gap between Montreal and Canada.
