Calgary up-and-comer AK-Slim recently released the supporting visuals for his single “Bounce out the Coupe,” as he geared up for a 18 month sentence from a gun charge.
Shot and directed by Calgary/Montreal videographer Vince Raquel, “Bounce Out The Coupe” sees Slim rapping in and out of a red coupe and stunning shots of the city’s skyline in the distance. He’s joined on camera by members of his group, SAFIGXNG, including artists JUVE, and XAASID. They joined Slim on one of his previous fan favourites, “Daddy,” and he’s also getting love for another recent visual, “Dr. Phil,” as well as “Needzzz” featuring TonyToSick.
While AK Slim’s camp will keep his name buzzing while he’s serving his sentence, he’s already deep in the planning stages of plotting his return. As he told explained to me earlier in the summer:
“These days it’s East Coast of Canada being the tops cities proclaiming the top rappers in our country, Calgary is known for being under the rock with hip-hop but still holds its momentum which I will help get to a new level as one of the next artists to come up in 2020.”
“Bounce Out The Coupe” is available on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via N.T.C. Records.
