Ottawa band BLAKDENIM performing at Ottawa Bluesfest 2019

Local Ottawa hip-hop group BLAKDENIM returns as performers at this years Ottawa Bluesfest 2019.

As 6:30 p.m. arrived on the Videotron Stage, the band was already set up ready to go. The group played their latest single, “Je T’Adore,” which you can check out below, as well as “Champagne” and other dope tracks from their catalogue.

IndieBlender said of BLAKDENIM, “[they] are the complete package. If you’re looking for passionate lyrics, infectious rhythms, expertly layered instrumentals, or simply something to move your feet to, this is a band you have to check out.”

This is one indication that BLAKDENIM is realizing exactly what they set out to achieve when they came together in an Ottawa, ON basement in late 2012. BLAKDENIM is a vanguard live hip-hop act that infuses hip-hop, funk, rock and soul with lyrical content that ranges from the serious to the absurd, the tone from sweet to heavy, all connected by head-nodding melodies. The line-up includes drums, bass guitar, piano, 2 trumpets, saxophone, a female vocalist and an emcee.

You can check out the photos from T-Pain’s performance below. And make sure you also check out photographer Flee Normality’s epic shots of T-Pain.
