If you’re in Vancouver on Thursday, Dec. 19, you can catch some incredible performances while supporting a good cause by attending the first Boots for Beers event.
Setting aside the annual holiday shopping and stresses, a group of local Vancouver based artists and businesses come together to rally support for their city and celebrate the holiday season.
From today right up till the special event on Dec. 19th, anyone can bring a pair of new or lightly used rain boots to El Guapo (1009 Hamilton Street) in Yaletown and will get a free beer. If you can’t make it to the event or don’t have any boots to donate, we’ll also be accepting online donations for Church Untitled’s “Heart for the City” initiative. All donations will be delivered directly to people in need in the Downtown Eastside December 21st, 2019.
“It’s a beautiful thing when a neighbourhood comes together to lend a hand and lift others up during the holidays,” explained Brevner, who is one of the bigger names on the lineup.
“Thanks to my good friends at El Guapo, we’re throwing a party to rally support and to celebrate the holiday season. We’ve got a special evening planned on Thursday, December 19th, 2019 with a little bit of love from some of my favourite Vancouver musicians.”
The full lineup includes (in alphabetical order): 24kal, Boslen, Brevner, Chin Injeti, Cora, Hungry, iamtheliving, Jade Monet, Junk, Kordoroy Floyd, Massiah, Noble Son, San Leoganda, So Loki, Teon Gibbs, and more.
It’s all going down inside El Guapo (1009 Hamilton Street) from 9 p.m. until the venue closes. Check out the official Facebook listing for more information.
