Canadian Music Weeks announces next wave of artists performing, including 2 Chainz

Just over 60 days until the start of Canadian Music Week, today CMW announced the next batch of artists slated to perform or present at the conference’s various events. One name we’re definitely excited to see on the bill is Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz. Toronto’s Keys N Krates is also on our radar, along with a ton of other great indie talent. Canadian Music Week Announces Next Week of Artists Featuring 2 Chainz, Alice Glass, Sango and More

Canadian Music Week (CMW) is thrilled to announce the next wave of artists performing at this year’s festival taking place May 7-13, at over thirty official CMW venues across downtown Toronto. Atlanta MC, and trap rap king 2 Chainz, Canadian electronic solo artist Alice Glass, Seattle based DJ and producer Sango and indie-pop duo Matt and Kim, all join previously announced acts Sloan, Cupcakke, The Rural Alberta Advantage and more for the 36th edition.

CMW prides itself on partnering with local promoters, labels and venues each year on hundreds of showcases. Some of this year’s collaborative events include: Jim Beam and Indie88 present The Indies, Gorilla vs. Bear present Heavy Trip Agency at The Baby G, Pleasance Records at The Garrison, Mississauga Music Showcase at The Hideout, Road to Riverfest at Longboat Hall, Lisbon Lux Showcase at Monarch Tavern, Double Denim Showcase at Smiling Buddha, Paquin Agency Showcase at The Dakota Tavern and more. Canadian Music Week

Now in its 36th year, Canadian Music Week is recognized as one of the premiere entertainment events in North America focusing on the business of music. The Canadian Music Week festival spans 6 nights of performances, with hundreds of showcasing bands at more than 30 live music venues in downtown Toronto. All convention functions take place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, 123 Queen Street West, Toronto.
