Come Thru is a weekly social media takeover series from HipHopCanada that puts a spotlight on the people and places moving the culture forward.
For the next three weeks, we’re focusing on highlighting three different studios in Toronto whose teams are not only helping artists create music, but are also supporting their development, growth, and sustained success.
We visited New Generation Studio to meet the team and tour the space. Located in the Finch Avenue West and Hwy 400 area, the studio provides clients will a full suite of creative resources – photo studio, recording/mixing, lounge/writing area, artist development and other professional services.
What was notable about our visit was the team’s hospitality and the family vibe that they shared among one another.
“It’s a lot of work, fun, but a lot of work,” Sam Gnotes remarked while we were chilling in the lounge area.
“It’s important for us to think like a team, but act like a family meaning we have the tough conversations and keep in mind that it’s always all love.”
The studio was busy during our visit – a video shoot was wrapping up, an artist arrived to record, and another client stopped by just to say “hi” and visit the team.
“That’s just the vibe we give and how we do business,” Bevy Boy, heard engineer and producer noted.
“We don’t just complete a session and expect our clients to leave, we want to build relationships with them have them see us as an extension of their team.”
New Generation’s team includes owners Danny Ramos and Sam Gnotes, head engineer and producer Bevy Boy, producers Beatrixx and Lxkes, photographer Stephan Ordonez aka tdotcam, videographer Bryan Gutierrez, and DJ Keys.
