Dièumerci August might be a relatively new voice in the scene, but his sound is big. We caught wind of the Waterloo-based emcee on his latest single “Dat Way” that dropped earlier this month and we’ve been impressed ever since. This is a party-anthem and is guaranteed to find its’ way into your rotation. The beat is hypnotic and August’s bars are easily digestible but undeniably enticing.
It’s hard to not find yourself repeating the chorus, when Dièumerci August raps, “Hennessy make her dat way.” But a strong chorus isn’t the only thing this track brings. It’s a talent bringing party hits to life authentically and the rapper delivers a product that is believable, and brings on 1nvite only for a strong feature.
