Drake continues his reign at the top of charts and just recently bagged another impressive milestone for his evergrowing list of accolades.
Late last week, Drake became the first artist to surpass 50 billion streams across all global streaming platforms with the viral-fueled single “In My Feelings.”
The video – which was shot in New Orleans and has been viewed more than 65 million times at the time of posting this – was directed by Toronto’s own Karena Evans for Popp Rok.
The 22-year-old video director saw her stock rise significantly this year by directing several other massive hits including “God’s Plan,” the Murda Beatz-produced “Nice For What,” and “I’m Upset,” which came out shortly after the release of the Scorpion album.
“In My Feelings” remains in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the fifth straight week.
The biggest threats to displacing it at this point is “I Like It” by Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin (currently sitting at number two), “FEFE” by 6ix9ine feautring Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz, and the newly added “No Brainer” single from DJ Khaled featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper and Quavo.
The video stars Drake, Phylicia Rashād (known for her role as Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show), Puerto Rican actor, producer and author La La Anthony, Shiggy (the social media star behind the #InMyFeelingsChallenge), and Capito & Marley.
