Throwback Thursday: Ed the Sock tours Regent Park with Point Blank

We shared a clip on Instagram earlier for Throwback Thursday featuring a clip of Ed the Sock getting a tour of Regent Park from Toronto rap group, Point Blank. It was part of Ed The Sock’s Big Wham Bam special on Citytv.

Here’s the full video (apologies in advance for the quality) – capturing a lighthearted and humourous piece of Canadian hip-hop history in the early 2000s.

At the time, this would have been a rare amount of exposure for a Canadian rapper or rap group. Before Drake helped usher in a new era of Canadian hip-hop, these types of promotional opportunities were few and far between.
