Our Song of the Day is the recently released single from Toronto artist Ellevan (aka #ThatFreestyleGuy) featuring Knwhere, and Stitch.
The video for the self-produced “Hyena” was powered by MC2 Music Media, with FCK Standard supplying the drone footage. Music wise, Josh Mudde supplied the guitar, and Jackson Steinwell held down the bass.
If you’re unfamiliar with Ellevan, you’ll find out quick that he’s an absolute monster when it comes to dropping music videos. In the last week alone he’s released six videos, and not one of those is the one we’re featuring here. In fact, since dropping Hyena on Dec. 15, Ellevan has released 13 other videos including 11 official music videos and two additions to his weekly #CypherSunday series.
We actually stumbled on the “Hyena” video after Knwhere’s “West Toronto” had us digging for more of his material. So it was only right to feature “Hyena” first, but look for more coverage of Ellevan’s extensive catalogue down the road. And you can keep it locked to Ellevan’s YouTube channel for daily (if not, almost daily) updates.
