Toronto rapper Fortunato is back with fresh visuals coming in support of his latest album, MDCXVII, which was released through URBNET on Friday, Nov. 9.
After a 36-date tour across Canada with Edmonton’s Doom Squad last summer, Fortunato teamed up with group member Kryple for the Scopic-produced single, “Magnificent.”
The new video was shot by one of Canada’s hottest rising talents, Koel Anderson, and is available for viewing below.
MDCXVII is available on all digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify. On Friday, Nov. 29, MDCXVII will be available in hard copy via Bandcamp format including 12″ LP and CD.
MDCXVII is the Roman numeral equivalent of 1617, the street address where Fortunato was born in Toronto’s west end. MDCXVII is a deeply personal album that focuses on Fortunato’s depth of experience in the hip-hop game, and specifically how it has affected his life. Inspired by his travels to Western Canada during his last coast-to-coast tour, MDCXVII showcases beats, guest appearances, and engineering from solely West Coast artists.
Along with Kryple, the project also features Mugg Shot and Madchild. Check out the new video for “Magnificent” below.
