We have a surprise 420 Edition playlist today from Good Gas featuring some of 1st’s favorite throwback smoking songs from Atlanta to the Bay and of course 3 exclusive new tracks featuring Philly rapper Tunji Ige, reggae newcomer Menlik, and “Mr. Good Gas” aka FKi 1st himself.

FKi 1st is an award-winning producer, songwriter DJ and artist, influencing sound and urban culture, infusing Atlanta trap with melodic instrumentation. His production has yielded more than 10 Gold and Multi-Platinum records, including “White Iverson” by Post Malone, Iggy Azalea “Work,” Travis Porter “Bring It Back” & “Make It Rain,” Jeremih featuring Lil Wayne “All The Time,” and the urban smash “Watch Out” by 2 Chainz. He also co-executive produced Post Malone’s debut album Stoney (Republic Records) also certified 2x Platinum.

FKi 1st is also a staple in the club and festival scene as a DJ. He has played Low End Theory, Mad Decent Block Party, Camp Trill (Soulection/Brownies & Lemonade), Trillectro, Trap City San Francisco and more. In 2016 he played the Heineken House at Coachella and toured with Fetty Wap “Welcome to the Zoo” US Tour, Justin Bieber “Purpose” US Tour, Post Malone “Hollywood Dreams” US & European Tour and Diplo’s Australia Tour.

FKi stands for “Fuckin Kickin It” and began as an Atlanta-based production team with Saucelord Rich in 2008. Their sound was first heard heavily on their mixtape Transformers In The Hood (TNTH). TNTH was presented by international DJ and Mad Decent curator, Diplo, and garnered much-deserved attention from electronic, hip-hop, and trap music followers throughout the US and abroad. The vast variety in genre caught the attention of top DJs like Flosstradamus, Kaskade, Borgore, DJ Sliink, and Flux Pavilion which led to numerous trap/EDM collaborations.

In 2014, Billboard Magazine honored FKi as one of the “Top 5 Producers Shifting the Sound of Atlanta Rap.” On a trip to LA, FKi 1st discovered artist Post Malone and began developing his sound. White Iverson took off as a viral hit in early 2015 and gained over 1 million plays on Soundcloud within 1 month, leading to a major label bidding war and signing a deal with Universal Republic, bringing FKi 1st on board as his executive producer.

In 2016, FKi 1st released his debut EP “First Time for Everything” via Mad Decent which has over 11M streams and received praise from The Fader, Pitchfork, Hypetrak, Noisey, Vibe, XXL and more. His new project via Mad Decent, “Good Gas Vol. 1” is a playlist curated by 1st himself, that features original music and collaborations with 2 Chainz, A$AP Ferg, UnoTheActivist, MadeinTYO and more. His single “How I Feel,” from the project, hit #1 on Spotify’s Top 50 Global Viral & Top 50 U.S. Viral in the first week.
