Earlier today, the body of 29-year-old Hamilton, ON resident Holly Hamilton was found inside her 1996 white, four-door Ford Escort. The single mother was last seen alive on Sunday evening and, since then, family and friends had pushed an aggressive search and postering campaign in an attempt to locate her.
One arrest has already been made in the case but little information has been released.
Hamilton was the sister of Canadian hip-hop artist Cass Hamilton aka CVSS of Rolling Rich Records, who has recently made noise with singles featuring Choclair and Karl Wolf. A GoFundMe campaign has been established in Hamilton’s name to assist with covering funeral expenses.
Cass released a statement regarding his sister’s passing:
“Yesterday we lost my Sister Holly Hamilton due to domestic violence. Holly is at peace now but my family & I along with other families affected by domestic violence will never be. I would like to thank Constable Stewart of the Hamilton Police & his team for finding my Sister. I would also like to thank everyone for the overwhelming prayers & support. It has been humbling. My label has set up a #gofundme campaign to help pay for funeral costs & a trust fund for Holly’s 4 year old Daughter she leaves behind. My family & I ask that you please respect our privacy at this difficult time & direct all inquiries to my Publicist Sasha Stoltz.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with CVSS and the Hamilton family.
