Toronto rapper Just John has seen his popularity growing lately and continues the momentum with the release of his new Fevra-produced single, “NOISE.” Frocasso directed the newly released video (co-directed by John), going with a Motown theme to compliment the sound.
Here’s what Noisey’s Phil Witmer had to say about the release:
“Opening with the disclaimer that three noise complaints were indeed received during its filming, the clip takes place at a disco-lit party. Otis Redding LPs and Black Panther berets call back to the late 60s, subtly tracing the lineage from the funked-out protest songs of the era to the modern, futuristic funk of ‘NOISE’ itself, which addresses Toronto’s DIY venue crisis.”
You can find “NOISE” on all digital streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
