The OVO and GOOD Music feud continues. Kanye West has let out another rant on Twitter, further complicating the longstanding drama surrounding him and Drake.
It started with a mid-afternoon tweet featuring a screenshot of a text message asking Ye if he wanted to approve a clearance request submitted by Drake for “Say What’s Real,” along with the Ye’s caption: “This proves shit faker than wrestling.”
But before he throws any real shade in Drake’s direction, he makes it clear the main thing he’s looking for is an apology, directly from Drake, and for a variety of reasons. Kanye also calls him out for what he perceives as sneak dissing Travis Scott.
Ye tweeted, “Still need that apology for mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out your idols kids mouths,” which was followed by, “Been trying to meet with you for 6 months bro. You sneak dissing on trav records and texting Kris talking bout how’s the family.”
It’s unclear what spurred Kanye’s latest barrage of tweets, but it could be partly because he feels Drake still thinks he’s the one that gave Pusha the heads up about his son (which The Clipse rapper made public on “The Story of Adidon“), and that the beef could escalate even further.
In November, Pusha T accused Drake of buying 200 tickets to his Toronto show at Danforth Music Hall, and paying men to jump him. Kanye tweeted on that too:
“Buying first two rows at Pusha show got me hot bro,” which was followed by, “Stop this already bro, you getting people hurt out here and over what.”
Kanye also accused Drake of being a bit insensitive to the state of his mental health:
“It’s all love bro bro but don’t play with me. You stay too close to be playing all these industry games bro. Sending purple emojis when I’m dealing with mental shit I need my apologies now, not through Scooter either, not through Travis.”
Roughly an hour after the last message, Ye claimed that Drake had “finally called,” an added “Mission accomplished” in a separate tweet. He then followed that with “By the way… not cleared😂,” referring to sample he mentioned in the initial tweet. It’s unclear if Drake actually called, or if any headway was made on squashing the beef.
Drake’s Twitter and Instagram feeds didn’t directly address the Kanye Twitter rant, but he did post a series of laughing emojis in his IG story at roughly the same time as Kanye’s last tweets.
