Toronto-based Ottawa artist Karma Sutra recently pulled the trigger on her 13-track project, Sad Shorty.
After two big singles in 2019 including fan favourite “Threat” and “Lingo” (which is featured on the album), Sad Shorty provides a perfect scope of what this fierece and determined lyricist is all about. The guest appearances compliment her sound nicely, and shows love to her hometown with Ottawa’s Night Lovell and Lia Kloud sliding in along with Shantal and BowtieCarl. She’s also publicly claimed Lovell as her “best friend/ significant other” so people already familiar with her music will not be surprised to see him in the mix.
The Night Lovell-assisted “Strap” (produced by Ham) was recently added to HipHopCanada’s official Spotify playlist, Canadian Fresh.
Along with Spotify, you can find the track and album on various other digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and TIDAL via Colonie 33.
