Toronto artist Kid Kold teams up with Freeway for The Black Gang EP

Our weekly segment Submission Sundays features the collaborative project, The Black Gang EP, by Toronto up-and-comer Kid Kold and veteran Philly rapper Freeway.

“This EP is a collaboration of experiences bridging the influence of veteran(s) from Hip-Hop with the experiences of Hip-Hop fans today through newcomer on the scene, Kid Kold.”

The Black Gang consists of two members: Toronto producer DJ Merciless and Kid Kold, a 29-year-old Trinidadian-Canadian rapper from Toronto.

  • When: The Black Gang EP is available on SoundCloud, Spotify and other digital outlets.
  • Where: Representing Toronto, Ontario and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • Why: Kold and Freeway’s chemistry shines bright on The Black Gang EP. The project not only showcases the skills of both MCs, but also the talents of DJ Mercilless, who produced the entire project. Plus they’ve some great guest appearances on board including Asun Eastwood, Dubz Priceless, Lord Fury, Ghostface Killah, Beanie Sigel, Styles P, Sheek Louch and Killah Priest.
