The new year comes with new opportunity as recently launched outlet, Kids Take Over, looks to make their mark on the scene.
The new youth focused hip-hop show plans to captivate it’s audience by interviewing both major and emerging talents alike, giving young artists another outlet to showcase their work and connect with fans.
Kids Take Over have already interviewed A$AP Mob member A$AP Twelvyy via FaceTime. In a very eye opening back-and-forth, the New York City rapper offered some insight on what it takes to achieve your goals while speaking on his own desire to get his music to kids in Pakistan. Those that aren’t fortunate enough to have access to certain types of music and technologies, or platforms like Spotify and Apple which are blocked. Twelvyy also talks about New York music, culture, as well as up-n-coming artists Bouba Savage and Flipp Dinero.
They also connected with one of the newest artists to step onto the Atlanta scene, SahBabii. He spoke with KTO just before his sold out show in Vancouver’s Fortune Sound Club, and talked about his come up as an artist, his love for Anime, and new music he’s getting ready to unleash.
The Kids Take Over team is lead by founder Arshan Jawaid, who has already filled his channel with a ton of great content via his popular 1on1 series. He’s interviewed artists and producers like Uncle London, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, Cozz, Marty & Grimes, and more. He touched on his inspiration behind creating the platform:
“Inspired by me hustling at a young age to be a journalist, and dreaming to interview hip-hop artists but felt too overlooked.”
You can check out some recent releases from KTO below including recently released behind the scenes footage of SahBabii’s Vancouver gig.
“From being late to set, camera equipment breaking, all the way to being on stage next to him, you can catch it all in this episode.”
