Killing Roses, which took place in Ottawa on Saturday, March 24, 2018, proved to be one of the dopest events we covered all year.
Now the BabyPink Collective has announced the second installment in the series—Killing Roses 2—taking place on Saturday, May 11 inside Ottawa’s St. Brigid’s Centre for the Arts (310 St. Patrick St.), kicking off at 6:30 p.m.
“Killing Roses is a multi-creative event showcasing various types of creative work from local artists from Ottawa & Toronto. All art forms, whether it be music, fashion, visual arts, photography, etc, are someway interlinked which why we wanted create a night where you can experience it all at once.” – BabyPink Collective
This years’s list of performers includes Karma Sutra, Eyeda & Max, Rosie Monday, and Kpao, while the list of art exhitors includes Nikolina Kupcevic, Dorothé Kanku, Hasina Kamazi, and Laurena Finèus. BabyPink will also showcase some incredible photographers including Meidy Grégoire, Paige Martensen, Myles Maximme, and Arnold Hamisi.
Additionally, Hasina Kamazi will be on hand to paint live at the event, Liz Clarke will be presenting her visual poetry exchibit, and Ashley Ighorewo will be performing a dance (or possibly more than one).
Advance tickets are $10 online via Eventbrite, or $15 at the door. It’s an all ages event but alcohol will be served at the venue so bring valid ID if you plan on having a drink.
