Today, record-breaking UK rap duo Krept & Konan released their Wizkid-assisted music video for “G Love.”
The music video for “G Love” features Wizkid, was directed by KLVOR and shot in London. Produced by P2J, “G Love” is the second official single to be lifted from Krept & Konan’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, Revenge Is Sweet, which will be out on Nov. 1, 2019.
Along with Wizkid, the project will feature various guest appearances including Canadian rap star Tory Lanez, Stormzy, Headie One, MoStack and more.
“G Love” follows “I Spy” (featuring Headie One and K Trap), which debuted at #18 in the UK charts on release over the summer, making it Krept & Konan’s second Top 20 single.
The release of Krept & Konan’s second studio album Revenge Is Sweet will precede their upcoming headline show at The O2, London on Dec. 5. The remainder of the UK and Ireland dates on the Revenge Is Sweet – The Tour have now been rescheduled to allow for Krept to recover fully after sustaining injuries earlier this month when he was attacked in Birmingham.
This summer saw Krept & Konan (alongside DJ Target) front the BBC Docuseries, The Rap Game, which was nominated for “Best Talent Show” at The National TV Awards, and released “Ban Drill” (with its accompanying Rapman-directed short film). Around the release of “Ban Drill,” Krept & Konan launched a change.org petition (asking the CPS to ‘stop silencing musicians’) and were invited by Diane Abbott MP to the Houses of Parliament to debate whether or not censoring drill music and prosecuting Drill artists is an effective way to combat crime.
In 2017, Krept & Konan made history with 7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS, when they became the first act ever to have two mixtapes simultaneously enter the Top 10 of the Official UK Albums chart. They’ve now notched up a #2 album, two top 10 mixtapes (with 7 DAYS now certified silver), one platinum single (“Freak Of The Week” featuring Jeremih), three silver singles, and a total of over half a billion streams.
The past eighteen months alone has seen Krept & Konan sell out a headline show at Alexandra Palace, perform main slots at Wireless and Reading & Leeds Festivals, successfully launch their restaurant Crepes & Cones in their native Croydon and front BBC Docuseries, The Rap Game UK, a competition series looking for the next big British rap star which was won by Kiico, who is now signed to Krept & Konan’s record label, Play Dirty.
