Germany’s Leroy Menace impresses with new Moon Islands EP

German artist Leroy Menace impresses with new Moon Islands EP

Our weekly segment Submission Sundays features the new Moon Islands EP from German hip-hop recording artist, Leroy Menace.

“Leroy dedicates it to the Comoros and the strong contrast between an idyllic way of life and a hard reality every day.”

The title has derived from his fathers place of birth – the Comoros Islands (known as the Moon Islands) which also gave the inspiration for the dreamy and summery kind of vibe of half the EP. The rough sound of the other half is inspired by Leroy’s everyday struggles within city life. Musical diversity on 9 high quality songs of the upcoming German MC lay the foundation for a great future.

SUBMISSION SUNDAYS INFO

Submission Sundays is a segment we introduced in 2018 to show love to the hundreds of artists and groups that submit new material to us weekly. The segment also gives us a chance to show love to people who aren’t already receiving regular coverage on HipHopCanada, and gives them a chance to connect with our viewers.

Each week, we’ll select 8 new submissions and feature them on our homepage for at least a 24 hour period.

Please note, due to the volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to respond to each submission directly. Submissions with missing information will be deleted.
