Maestro performs with Barenaked Ladies at House of Strombo

Canadian rock legends Barenaked Ladies (alongside Steven Page) are the latest and well-deserving inductees to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. They’ll be officially inducted during JUNO Week on Sunday, March 25 in Vancouver.

Yesterday, the band hosted an intimate performance inside the House of Strombo to celebrate the achievement. During the performance, a friend of the band, and Canadian legend in his own right, Maestro Fresh Wes, was brought out to mark the occasion.

Together they performed a not to be missed mashup of Maestro’s monumental hit “Let Your Backbone Slide,” and BNL’s 1998 hit “One Week” which also won Single of the Year at the JUNOs.

We asked Wes about the appearance:

“We performed a ‘One Week / Backbone’ medley. It was dope. We’ve had a mutual respect from day one. Scarborough guys.”
