After releasing the lead single off of his project a few months ago, Major Lewis is back with the full After Midnight EP. You may have seen the name Major Lewis recently as the producer on Derin Falana’s song titled “Think It Through”, but he is ready to show the world what he is capable of vocally as well. After Midnight is a concise 5-track project which was entirely produced, engineered and performed by Major Lewis. It is full of uptempo pop infused R&B tracks and serves as the perfect end of summer soundtrack.
The title of the project and major inspiration for much of its content comes from conversations that Major Lewis has had After Midnight. In his world, the days can be very hectic and don’t leave a lot of time for reflection, so it is only really later on at night where he can sit down and really analyze life and the path that he is on.
The outro track “Greenlight” is definitely a standout from the project and really shows a vulnerable side of Major Lewis, but from top to bottom, After Midnight is a sonically consistent and complete project.
