After a brief hiatus, Toronto hip-hop mainstay Mindbender has dropped a new 20-track independent album titled, Journey Into Sound: New Colors. New Dimensions. New Values.
The release comes as the veteran artist’s other career in the porn industry as Malcolm Lovejoy begins to really flourish.
Back in September, Mindbender dropped visuals for “Welcome To CyberTron,” a song featured on the Peppermint production powered project.

Toronto’s MINDBENDER releases new album:
Journey Into Sound: New Colors. New Dimensions. New Values.
Without a doubt, Mindbender is a Canadian MC with a story like no other. With a career spanning over two decades, he’s truly a renaissance man in the culture. A familiar face in the crowd of most hip-hop events in the city, Mindbender isn’t only a fan, but he’s also an MC, journalist, open mic host, VJ, and visual artist; he’s been once referred to as “Toronto Hip-Hop’s Biggest Fan” by BlogTo magazine. Since his last few musical projects, Jupiter, produced by award-winning producer Rich Kidd in 2010, and Mindbender’s mixtape No More Mr. Nice Guy Vol. 3: Romantic Mindf*ck Decapitation, he had taken a hiatus from hip-hop, to explore and expand his career… as an erotic adult film star.
With an alter ego named Malcolm Lovejoy, Mindbender has carved a space for himself within the adult entertainment field. In his first 5 years of making adult film, he not only shot over 100 videos (most recently with an AVN-award-winning director in Boston), He’s also quietly became the only TIPF award-winning erotic film star/hip-hop MC in Canada. But with music being his first love, of course he had to make a return to rap…
The album can only be described as a sonic adventure created with the greatest intentions to feel, move and sound like nothing else in modern hip-hop music and culture. With a sound that is at times eclectic, Mindbender fearlessly challenges what listeners define as hip-hop. Whether in the Toronto-celebrating “Welcome To CyberTron”, the sarcastic & quirky “I Like Jokes!”, the anti-abuse #metoo-era anthem “Cancel the Show” or genre-boundary-pushing songs like “Alien Orchestra”, this double album from Mindbender and producer Peppermint seeks to take listeners on a musical journey unlike any and every other artist or album in 2018 and beyond.
