Coming to our ears from Saint Paul, Minnesota is singer/songwriter MOISE. The burgeoning young artist has a distinct sound that is inspired by the likes of Lenny Kravitz, John Mayer, Frank Ocean and Marvin Gaye. He was recently was picked up by COLORS – the Berlin company that is becoming well-known for their collection of acoustic renditions that they’ve made available on YouTube (and most of which are going viral).
The artist’s impactful rendition of his original track “Wildflower,” has had us (along with many others) hooked on his unique sound that eloquently blurs R&B with soul and rock. But it’s his newest release “Bad Attitude” that has us watching his moves most recently.
On how the track came to fruition MOISE explains, “‘Bad Attitude’ is two songs in one, the latter half is ‘swiss miss,’ which was created in a hotel in Germany on GarageBand back in the summer, the night before my COLORS performance. It’s a track that serves as an all to familiar position that we have all experienced, a summer love or fling. I channeled some inspiration from John Mayer and Marvin Gaye, to give this sensual moment that we all go through but in a fun loving, laid back manner.”
Keep an eye out for his upcoming EP which is set to drop in early 2018 and listen to “Bad Attitude” below.
