North West London rapper Nines blew people away today with the release of his new film Crop Circle, and the announcement that he’d be dropping album by the same name this week.
“Even the aliens know when that sh*ts out.”
Crop Circle – which is Nines’ debut as a film director and writer – features an all-star cast alongside the Harlesden rapper including other other members of his Ice City Boyz, as well as comedian Joselyn Esien, J Hus, Ghetts, Mist, Skrapz, and more.
Anticipation for a new Nines album really jumped after the release of the Oliver Jennings-directed “I See You Shining” video which has surpassed 2.5 million views on YouTube in under 2 weeks.
At the premiere of the film earlier today inside Soho’s Prince Charles Cinema, he revealed that his new album would be out on Friday (Apr. 20), with a pre-order link available here.
Considering the quality of the film and the single, and the reception both have received so far, the expectation is huge for this album. There’s little doubt that Nines will deliver, and luckily he’s not making them wait long to find out.
It’s being released on XL Recordings, the same label that released his studio debut, One Foot Out, in 2017.
