About Omar

Via Donzelli Music Group

Nigerian artist and music producer, Omar, born Omaremi Faleyimu, has had an interest in music since the age of 5 when he started drumming. As he got older, he got more interested in music and a lot of musical instruments.

He developed his love for producing when he was 12 and has been working ever since. He was never really interested in singing till his friends convinced him to try his hands at the art. He recorded a song with two of his friends; Bos and Oscar, called “Bicycle,” which put his name on the map with the local crowd in Canada. Omar sees himself as more of an afropop artist but is known to indulge in other genres with his production. He has released a host of songs since getting started.

He has also released impeccable videos for the tracks; BAE and BAMIDELE. In the nearest future, Omar sees himself big in the Nigerian music industry both as a talented producer and an artist, with proper management, setting an enviable standard.

About Mister Marai

Via HotelMaraiMgmt

Mister Marai (Jayel Marai) is a singer/songwriter whose roots lie in South Detroit, making his debut in the music industry with two singles available on all music platforms. His Dead Man Walking LP, dropping late summer of 2018, is a futuristic take on pop culture’s retro style, rejuvenated. This Canadian artist is currently building his name as an influencer on social media and in the music industry.

Born in the 90’s, the young musical talent strives to bring the world together through his music in his own modus operandi with relatable tracks such as “Nymphos,” “Candy Kisses,” and his latest release, “Blasphemy.” Influences such as Prince, James Brown and Sade (to name a few) spark the fuel to create the fire Mister Marai needs to deface the current logistics of popular music today and compliment the greats whilst assisting the new school. A rebel with a cause and a gift to the 21st century.

SUBMISSION SUNDAYS INFO

Submission Sundays is a segment we introduced in 2018 to show love to the hundreds of artists and groups that submit new material to us weekly. The segment also gives us a chance to show love to people who aren’t already receiving regular coverage on HipHopCanada, and gives them a chance to connect with our viewers.

Each week, we’ll select 8 new submissions and feature them on our homepage for at least a 24 hour period.

To be considered for our weekly Submission Sundays segment, please submit your content using our Submission Form. International submissions are welcome.

Please note, due to the volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to respond to each submission directly. Submissions with missing information will be deleted.
