Rap Recording of the Year nominees announced for 2020 JUNO Awards

Nominations for the 2020 JUNO Awards have been announced.

In the Rap Recording of the Year category, the nominees are:

88GLAM2 by 88Glam (XO/Universal)
Tomorrow Could Be The Day Things Change by Classified (Half Life/Universal)
Light Path 8 by KILLY (Epic/Sony)
Bad Habits by NAV (XO/Universal)
“Freaky” by Tory Lanez (Interscope/Universal)

Along with the Rap Recording category, hip-hop and R&B were represented in several other categories.

Tory Lanez received a total of five nominations including JUNO Fan Choice, Artist of the Year, and two nominations for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year (Chixtape 5 and the “Feel It Too” single by Tory, Tainy, and Jessie Reyez. It was also announced this morning that Tory will be performing at this year’s ceremony along with Daniel Caesar and several other artists.

NAV was also nominated for JUNO Fan Choice along with his XO labelmate The Weeknd, and West Coast hitmaker, bbno$ (who is also nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year).

88Glam was nominated for Group of the Year, and French Canadian rapper Koriass was nominated for Francophone Album of the Year.

The 2020 JUNO Awards will take place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
