Our friends at the Songwriters Association of Canada (S.A.C.) are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year, and currently conducting a survey to get a better understanding of the main issues faced by professional music creators.
“Our goal is to learn how different aspects of musical industry can impact music creators in Canada.”
The survey can be found on the S.A.C. website and should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete.
The questionnaire covers such areas as digitalization (i.e. impact of online streaming services), being a music creator, income, discrimination, harassment and other work environment related issues.
The results of the survey will be used to better understand and address the issues affecting the lives and careers of music creators.
For respondents who complete the survey, S.A.C. will be handing out 3 prizes to 3 randomly drawn winners:
- 1st prize: 2-year complimentary S.A.C. membership
- 2nd prize: 1-year complimentary S.A.C. membership
- 3rd prize: 50% discount for 1-year S.A.C. membership
The survey is schedule to close on July 26, 2018 5pm EDT.
S.A.C. has indicated that all responses will remain anonymous and all individual responses will be kept strictly confidential.
