HipHopCanada on Spotify:
Sarah Jay’s Weekly Picks Vol. 12

HipHopCanada joined Spotify earlier this year and we’ve been releasing a new playlist with two hours of music every single week.

Each Friday we’ll hit you with a Canadian urban music playlist curated by our Associate Editor, Sarah Jay. Every week Sarah will be putting together a 38-track weekly selection of new releases, classic favourites, throwbacks, and songs she’s playing heavy on rotation.

This week’s playlist includes several brand new just-released tracks including Roy Woods’ “Involved” (off the JUST released new Nocturnal EP), Derek Wise’s “Ryan Glamsling,” Sean Leon’s Jazz Cartier diss “Fav Rapper/ Hundred Million Religion,” Hero’s “She Will Always Let You Down” (off the Loosies project), DillanPonders’ “Heaven,” Ikeno’s “Maple Surrp Freestyle,” and DJ Dre Killspree’s Tory Lanez featured “Toronto Girl Postal.”

Volume 12 also features Jonathan Emile’s Kendrick Lamar assisted “Heaven Help Dem,” which made headlines after Emile challenged Top Dawg Entertainment, Interscope Records and Universal Music Group when he was forced to take down his song due to alleged copyright infringement. The Montreal artist took the labels to court and won his case.

Check out the playlist and track list for Sarah Jay’s Weekly Picks Vol. 12 below, and make sure you go follow us on Spotify.
