Our weekly segment Submission Sundays features the recently released, Kaytranada-produced single, “The Fool Pt. 3 (Frame of Mind)” by London, ON JUNO Award-winner, Shad.
The song comes in advance of Shad’s next project, A Short Story About A War, set to drop Friday, Oct. 26 on Secret City Records.

- Artist/Group: London, Ontario recording artist Shad is the host of the Emmy and Peabody award-winning Netflix Original docu-series Hip-Hop Evolution and is a former host of CBC Radio’s flagship arts & culture program ‘q’. In 2011, his album TSOL won Rap Recording of the Year at the JUNO Awards.
- Submission: The recently released Justin Broadbent-directed video for the Kaytranada-produced single, “The Fool Pt. 3 (Frame of Mind).” The song will appear on Shad’s next project, A Short Story About A War, dropping Oct. 26. Along with Kaytranada, the album will feature contributions from Lido Pimienta, Steven Mulcare, Iam Kamau, Eternia, DJ T.Lo, 2oolman of A Tribe Called Red, and Yukon Blonde.

Submission Sundays is a segment we introduced in 2018 to show love to the hundreds of artists and groups that submit new material to us weekly. The segment also gives us a chance to show love to people who aren’t already receiving regular coverage on HipHopCanada, and gives them a chance to connect with our viewers.
Each week, we’ll select 8 new submissions and feature them on our homepage for at least a 24 hour period.
