Winnipeg-based rap duo Filthy Animals – a named given to Big Bear and Pnutty Goldust by legendary New York rapper Buckshot (Duckdown Records, Black Moon) – has released their third studio album, Still Filthy, via Hand’Solo Records.
Still Filthy showcases the same booze-filled but razor-sharp technical lyrics alongside the comedic wit and storytelling their fans have come to expect of the duo, all over a mixture of boom bap and trap beats produced entirely by Pnutty, with guest appearances by a handful from the Deepcave Records collective.
Founded in 2007, Big Bear and Pnutty are 17-year veterans of the Canadian hip-hop scene and consider the new project their best collaborative work to date. Just a few days ago they dropped fresh Natural Aspects Promotions-powered visuals for their “Filthy Gang” single. “Filthy Gang” follows two other videos off Still Filthy including “Woo Twang” and Freddy On The Block.
“Boasting a high energy live show laced with mind-boggling flows, comedic banter, and crowd participation, Filthy Animals has built a a notoriety throughout Central and Western Canada as one of the finest homebred acts that their musically infamous frozen prairie capital has to offer.”
Still Filthy is available through Bandcamp, where you can also order hard copies. It was unclear at the time of this posting if the album would be hitting other outlets like Apple Music or Spotify.
