Vancouver emcee Sung of Kaoboy Music recently released the video for “Man Down” from his EP, Prelude Pt. 1. The track features strong 808s and a blend of synths which showcase his obvious talents as a developed wordsmith. With visuals shot by Jacky Chen, and additional shots by Scope from Vancouver, the video features a variety of profiles of the rapper against Vancouver landscapes.
As an independent recording artist and producer, Sung made some noise in the local community with his EP, and hosted a live release party this past month that was well-attended. His perspectives feature his signature style of racially conscious rap that brings some much needed diversity to the West Coast scene. He got his start in music early, learning piano at the age of 3 and had a wide breadth of interest in classical and jazz worlds as well. This newest video is a track that you’ll easily vibe to.
