The song has already been picked up by Spotify’s New Music Friday and Northern Bars playlists, and the new self-directed video is the perfect way to lead into the Summer.
Safadi is currently planning to roll out a new single per month, with the next track being a feature from Toronto artist Pressa called “When I’m Drunk.” Stay tuned for that and check out the “Like You Mean It” video below (along with the accompanying press release).
Terell Safadi Continues to Make Waves
Vancouver based hip-hop artist Terell Safadi continues to make waves with the release of his newest single, “Like You Mean It.” The song was released on May 17, 2018 and hit 3K streams on Spotify within the first 24 hours, and was added to the New Music Friday playlist on May 18. The single comes on the heels of his widely successful EP, A Night To Remember.
Safadi has slowly been developing his music career since 2010. In Sept. 2017, he hit the ground running with new records, a team and a plan. He rolled out with “Break My Back,” in Sept., and followed that up with “DMT” in October. That earned him 10,000 views on YouTube within the first 48 hours. Within the same month he did a two-date run with A Boogie Wit A Hoodie in Alberta, and followed the tour up with the release of “Cup Filled” on Nov. 20, and “Lifestyle” on Dec. 7, which was immediatly added to Spotify’s Northern Bars playlist (54K+ followers).
On Feb. 12, he released A Night To Remember, which is currently sitting at 138,368 streams on Spotify. “All Your Love” (track #3 on the EP), currently has over 100K+ streams on Spotify and the music video has over 241K plays on Facebook. The track was added to the New Music Friday playlist and hit #27 on the Viral 50 Canada chart, which led to adds on other playlists including Viral Hits, Northern Bars, and Just Vibing.
With this exposure, Safadi has continued to gain traction in his career. He currently has over 16K monthly listeners on Spotify, and over 1 million views on YouTube. This year he also opened for Grammy Award-winning artist Nelly on his All Work No Play tour, inside Vancouver’s Harbour Centre.
