Our weekly segment Submission Sundays features the newly released NorthSideBenji-assisted visuals for the single “1 of 1” by Toronto artist Thorobread. The video comes in support of Thorobread’s EP, Trust Is A Luxury, which was released in April via All Money Is Legal.
“After being incarcerated and on parole for several years, Thorobread has reasserted himself in Toronto’s hip-hop scene, letting everyone know he’s back and more focused than ever!”
Thorobread has been featured and on constant rotation on Spotify Canada’s Northern Bars playlist since May 2018 and also featured on Apple Music/Beats 1’s Ebro radio show, as well as multiple taste-making publications likes HipHopDX and more.

- Artist/Group: Toronto-based recording artist, Thorobread, representing All Money Is Legal.
- Submission: The new video for the Mason Taylor-produced single, “1 of 1,” featuring NorthSideBenji. UK-based director Flash Johnson filmed and directed the new “1 of 1” while on location at Ardwick Blvd, a Finch West neighborhood in Toronto, where Thorobread grew up. Flash also did the “Confessions” video for NorthSideBenji, which dropped in Dec. 2017.

Submission Sundays is a segment we introduced in 2018 to show love to the hundreds of artists and groups that submit new material to us weekly. The segment also gives us a chance to show love to people who aren’t already receiving regular coverage on HipHopCanada, and gives them a chance to connect with our viewers.
Each week, we’ll select 8 new submissions and feature them on our homepage for at least a 24 hour period.
To be considered for our weekly Submission Sundays segment, please submit your content using our Submission Form. International submissions are welcome.
