The summer is approaching quickly, the weather is getting nicer and creatives all over the country are getting ready to make the most of the next few months of sunshine. One of the key indicators of summer being around the corner is the launch of various summer festivals and showcases that the Canadian scene has to offer.
On Saturday, June 1, UNCRWND in collaboration with Brooklyn’s 24:Ours will be putting together Noise Control to kick off the summer as well as highlight various talent from both Toronto and New York.
The performance roster is complete with UNCRWND alumni including Probably Raymond, Dontae (NY), Angela Apigo and Dom Alli as well as newcomers Mazzi 500, Yaboi.Romie and Sunny Picasso.
This show marks the start of what will be an ongoing relationship between Toronto’s UNCRWND and Brooklyn’s 24:OURS. The two groups hope to continue to build the bridges between Canadian and American creatives and encourage collaboration amongst each other.
It is sure to be a night to remember and will indeed kick off what will be a very exciting summer for Canadian hip-hop.
The show goes down at The Libertine on Saturday, June 1 with doors set to open at 8 p.m.
