Apr. 20-22: UPN6XT Weekend to feature networking event and artist showcase

Having just recently moved to Toronto and getting involved with HipHopCanada, I wanted to reach a few events early on that would give me a chance to take in some new talent, and meet some new people involved in the scene. UPN6XT was suggested to me by a few people as a good option for achieving both. So I decided to look into what they have to offer, and now I’ve pretty much carved out my weekend to do all things UPN6XT.

UPN6XT “Where Toronto Artists Shine” has been giving up-and-coming talent a platform to be heard through their UPN6XT mixtape and event series. We’re just a few days out from UPN6XT Weekend where the release of the latest installment (Vol. 4) will be celebrated, and some of the artists featured on the project will perform live.

The weekend starts out on Friday, Apr. 20 with the Biz & Beatz networking event inside Terminal Studios (2488 Kingston Road).

The next day Li’ly Lounge will play host to the UPN6XT Volume 4 Mixtape Release Party which will be another chance to network and take in some good music with industry peers.

Finally, on Sunday, Apr. 22, a gang of talented acts will be reaching the Remix Resto Lounge (1305 Dundas Street West) for the UPN6XT Volume 4 Showcase. The showcase will feature performances by Sayzee, Ray Gambini, PriceDaBoss, Rubberband Roc, Brandon Leslie, Jupiter Jaxs, Rambo & Pollo, 2K, Lil Juvie, Ricardo Mac, J-Man, and MK 2 ICEYY.

Additional music will be provided by DJ Shannon Supreme. This is a 19+ event so make sure you bring I.D.

All three events are hosted by Crook James. Tickets and more information can be found online here.

You can find the mixtape stream below along with the flyers for all three events. See you there!
