Who is Whosrome? He’s a young male vocalist who’s sound embodies traditional R&B with a new-school flavour. Whosrome comes from a soulful Jamaican background but was born and raised in the Toronto’s west end. Rome and his family later made the move to a rural suburb of Brampton, within the same region. Like many young men, Rome had his fair share of run-ins with the law, but eventually decided that wasn’t to be the path he would take.
He had a love for soccer early on, and his talents were recognized by coaches and mentors to the point where it seemed obvious where he was heading. The sport was the bulk of his life, but nothing else compared to his love of music; so much so that he turned down a scholarship.
Rome expresses that he was always aware of his musical capabilities but never gave it much thought until, on a whim, he decided to release a cover of the Tory Lanez single “Say it,” which quickly found success and got his name out. From there he’d release “No Time,” a remix to DJ Drama’s “Wishing” hit called “Find Out,” the song “Time Never Matter,” which was released back in October, and, most recently the Vyntage-produced “Issues.”
“Issues” was directed by NV and is available to check out below. You can find the song on iTunes, Spotify and other outlets. The song was recorded and mixed by Fonz for Dramatic Trax Productions.
