Originally named the Symphony of Fire, the Honda Celebration of Light has come a long way in 29 years. Recognized as the longest running off-shore fireworks festival in the world, they’ve hosted dozens of countries to compete each year in a spectacular fireworks display.
The event also has a large musical component, with artists from across Canada performing over a series of 3 dates in Vancouver—July 27, July 31, and Aug. 3.
With live music stages at the Park Stage at Second Beach in Ceperely Meadow and Z Fest Stage at English Bay—it’s sure to be a fun-filled day of free entertainment before the fireworks take to the sky.
Z Fest is programmed by the Celebration of Light’s official radio partner, Z 95.3 FM. They’ll feature top talent performing on the Keg Lounge Stage on the Bathhouse Roof at English Bay each night of the fireworks.
On Aug. 3, Z Fest will feature performances by Toronto hip-hop living legends, Kardinal Offishall and Maestro Fresh Wes. The July 27 and July 31 concerts will feature Scott Helman, Famba, Vidya Vox, and Khanvict.
Kardinal is currently promoting his “Run” single.
Maestro recently wrapped up his role on the CBC hit show Mr. D, and has been promoting his latest project, Champagne Campaign.
